On Tuesday, April 3, 2018, NEWorks marked the 50th anniversary-eve of the untimely assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr with

the world premiere of Stirring the Waters, an inspiring concert production that traces a chronology of the Civil Rights Movement from 1954-1968.

This production recounts the seminal events that shaped this American freedom movement through inspiring music

and dramatic recitations that, collectively, rekindle King’s social-justice call to action.
